Alumni and Friends,
A new day is upon us as we bid Randy and Molly Ruble a heartfelt farewell and thank you, while also welcoming David and KD Norman as the fifteenth first couple to Due West. This important time at Erskine is even more special because of you as we have once again met the goals of the Annual Scholarship Fund. During Dr. Ruble’s leadership, there were many things accomplished, including the institution having a balanced budget for four straight years. Your love for Erskine and Dr. Ruble led to sacrificial giving to make this success possible. Dr. Ruble’s second retirement is certainly well-deserved and we wish he and Molly all the best as they travel, enjoy their grandchildren, and grasp all life has to offer these two servants of God.
Dr. Norman and his family are excited about coming to Due West and he is determined to move Erskine College and Theological Seminary forward in service and learning for her students. We have faced significant challenges in the past, and we are sure to face more in the future. He is eager to share his goals for Erskine. I urge you to take every opportunity to meet Dr. Norman and witness his energy. During what has been a trying time for the entire Erskine Family, God has placed Dr. Norman and his family in the leadership role that he has been preparing for through education and prayer. He recognizes that Erskine has much to be thankful for while realizing that diligence and planning lead to success. We look forward to witnessing God’s grace at work through his service to Erskine.
The alumni and friends of Erskine have long been a driving force in support of our students. Now, more than ever, I ask that you pray for and financially support Erskine. The students, faculty, and staff are worth our efforts to keep Erskine the institution she has been since 1839. Thank you all again for your prayers and support of our Erskine.
All the Best,
 |
